Janna Childs, LMT
With over 30 years of experience, I bring a deeply intuitive and skillful approach to massage therapy and bodywork. My practice is rooted in creating a sense of safety and trust, allowing the body’s natural intelligence to restore balance and vitality. I am certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, and Craniosacral Therapy, and completed a four-year training in energy healing at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. Throughout my career, I have studied diverse healing traditions around the world, most recently training in Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage at Mantak Chia’s school in Thailand. My goal is to help people reconnect with their bodies, ease tension, and cultivate a deeper sense of inner harmony and well-being.

Growing up, I was always the one that my friends opened up to about their problems with family, social struggles, or general stress. Eventually, I realized the way I was connecting with them was something that I enjoyed, and was possibly a gift. As I began to ponder a career, I knew I wanted to do something that helped people. I thought about being a teacher, or a nurse, but eventually decided on psychology and becoming a therapist. I knew that it would take more than me just being a patient listener, offering a safe space and good advice.

As I began my advanced degrees, I gained the knowledge and skill I would need to be able to work with the various populations throughout my career such as children, families, young adults, LGTBQIA+ folks, couples, groups and individuals. Throughout the last 27 years, I’ve honed my skills in psychodynamic work, with focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and becoming a Level 1 Internal Family Systems practitioner. I was fortunate to join a group practice where I practiced for 15 years. Even though I became a supervisor, trainer, program coordinator, and eventually Clinical Director, my main love has always been the face-to-face clinical work with clients. So in 2018, I set out to create Summit Psychotherapy, where I could focus on creating a healing space to do just that.

I’m grateful for the experience of working with clients both short-term and long-term as they strive towards their growth and reaching potentials. I welcome you to join the journey with me if you are looking to get started.

Dr. Tolga Yenilmez received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University after graduating from Istanbul University’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1996. He is licensed in IL, NY, WI, OR, United Kingdom and Turkey and has over 25 years of experience working in a broad range of settings and internationally with orthopedic and neurological injuries.

His passion about the psychology of injury led him to seek additional training and he received a certificate in psychotherapy from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco with an emphasis on transpersonal psychology and a certificate in IFS Therapy (Internal Family Systems), InnerSpeak Breakthrough Coaching Systems. In addition to standard physical therapy procedures, Tolga is trained in Functional Manual Therapy™ courses through Institute of Physical Art and his treatments involve a hands-on approach to uncover the root cause of symptoms, restore optimum function and resolve pain patterns. He practices a Functional Medicine based holistic approach to disease with an emphasis on mind-body-spirit connections and currently splits his time between Chicago and the West Coast.

“Recovering from injury starts with an awareness of movement and emotional patterns that lead to the injury and the mind set that accompanies it. I treat mechanical restrictions of soft tissue and joints via manual therapies, while helping reprogram the nervous system around the injury. I teach the body-mind to actively produce more efficient movement patterns to prevent further injuries as well as resolve current dysfunctions“.

Dr. Tolga is also a practitioner and facilitator of Tensegrity™, a modernized version of movements and meditations passed on through seers of ancient Mexico to promote awareness and well being, and facilitates classes in Midwest and West Coast. He is also the coauthor of the book “TORA: Opening the Secrets of Tarot” which teaches methods of meaning making through visual information.
